Alvaro De la Maza

Álvaro earned an International MBA from IESE Business School, specializing in Business Administration and Management from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, he completed a Master of Science in Infrastructure Development and Utilities Management at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, focusing on Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and Project Finance from 2009 to 2010. Álvaro also holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Universidad de Granada. Additionally, he participated in an exchange program at the University of California, Davis in 2005-2006. He leveraged his extensive education and experience at Iridium Concesiones de Infraestructuras of the ACS Group, a global leader in infrastructure and Gas Natural Fenosa in Barcelona, where he focused on reducing operation costs by optimizing contractor operations across Spain's gas network. In 2012, he founded InfraPPP World S.L., a definitive online platform providing updated knowledge on infrastructure and PPPs. Under his leadership, the company has grown significantly and gained a solid client base both individually and corporately. Alvaro then founded Aninver together with Jose de la Maza. Alvaro was Partner at the consulting firm during five years before moving into a CEO role at an ecommerce company after selling Aninver to IMC Worldwide.. In 2024, Alvaro joined back Aninver after Jose and he did a management buy out of the firm. Alvaro has great global experience having worked in more than 20 countries in 4 continents.
