We are excited to announce that Aninver Development Partners has been awarded a significant contract with the Prime Minister’s Office of the Kingdom of Tonga, financed by the World Bank. This project, part of the Tonga Digital Government Support Project, marks a major step in Tonga’s journey towards digital transformation, focusing on enhancing its National Portal and implementing critical e-services. The Kingdom of Tonga is undertaking a broad initiative to enhance its digital infrastructure and improve government-to-citizen (G2C) and government-to-business (G2B) interactions through the implementation of e-government services. The project is structured into two key phases:
- Phase 1: Foundation and Informational Services
In the initial phase, Aninver will focus on building a robust and secure digital foundation for Tonga's National Portal. This phase will prioritize citizen-centric informational services and the development of online forms designed to simplify government interactions. These services will provide immediate value, offering easy access to essential information for both citizens and businesses, including requests for important documents such as birth, death, and marriage certificates, and vaccination records.
- Phase 2: Transactional Services with Secure Authentication
The second phase will introduce more complex transactional services, enabling secure, authenticated interactions between citizens and the government. These services will include ID verification, allowing for online applications, payments, and the processing of government transactions, such as passport renewals, driving licenses, and more. This phase is critical to enhancing the efficiency of public services in Tonga.
AI-Powered Innovation: TongaGPT
One of the most exciting aspects of this project is the introduction of TongaGPT, an AI-powered tool trained on Tonga-specific public sector information.
